Student testimonial:

Mrs. Takizawa was referred to me about a month ago when I inquired about Japanese classes recommended by the FLT.

Mr Brancourt highly recommended Takizawa-san to me and I have to say that I haven’t been disappointed !

Takizawa-san is fluent in French and English making it really easy to understand some of the challenging nuances of the Japanese language.

I contacted Takizawa-san via email, followed up with a phone call to understand better how she was conducting her classes and what method she follows, and finally a face to face discussion for her to assess my level ( think Hogwarts sorting hat 🙂 ) — within 48h I had started.

A decade or so ago, during my 1st stint in Japan, I took classes at a very famous language school with rotating teachers; however despite private classes, I never found a teacher with the same level of dynamism and passion as Takizawa-san, and I never progressed as quickly.

For FLT members, Takizawa-san holds 2 morning classes per week: Tuesdays for beginners and Thursdays for intermediate students. Classes are held less than 5 mins away from Jimbocho station and are limited to 4 students for 2 hours (other “institutions” usually limit to 40 min); I can assure you it never gets boring and time flies by extremely fast!

The price is Y3000 for 2 hours, and from my experience, it’s a bargain especially given the quality of the teaching.

For those serious about learning or improving their Japanese at any level (she also supports foreign employees in need of producing documents in Japanese), I highly recommend Takizawa-san’s lessons!
