Kin-Ball Contest
Dimanche 16 octobre, les FLT étaient invitées à assister au tournoi de kin-ball des écoles japonaises voisines du LFI Tokyo.
Nos trois déléguées (deux membres du bureau et une maman du primaire) ont rencontré les responsables de cet événement auquel participaient les PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) de 6 établissements : écoles primaires Koyo, Yabata, Takinogawa 2, 3 et 6 et collège Takinogawa-Koyo.
Le kin-ball est un jeu d’équipe qui se pratique avec une balle de 1,22 mètre de diamètre pesant un kilo.
D’origine québécoise, cette discipline est pratiquée entre autres au Japon et en France : aux championnats du monde de 2015, les Japonais ont décroché l’or et les Français l’argent, tandis que chez les femmes, le Japon arrivait 2e et la France 3e derrière le Canada.

Rejoignez-nous, pas besoin d’être sportif, juste d’avoir envie de découvrir le kin-ball dans une bonne ambiance !
Participer à ce tournoi inter-écoles, c’est soutenir les efforts du LFI Tokyo pour entretenir des relations de bon voisinage et renforcer les liens d’amitié avec le quartier.

On Sunday 16th of October, the FLT association was invited by the neighboring schools to take part in a kin-ball contest.
Our 3 representatives – 2 members of the bureau and an elementary school’s mother- met ahead of the event with the Kin-ball contest’s organizing committee.
The sport’s event gathered the PTA (Parent-Teacher association) from the 6 nearby japanese schools : Koyo, Yabata, Takinogawa’s 2,3 & 6’s elementary schools and Takinogawa-Koyo’s JHS.
What is Kin-ball?
Kin-ball is a team sport played with a 1.22m (4 feet)/1kg(2 lbs) ball.
Originated from Quebec, this sport is played at competition level in France and Japan amongst other countries.
During the 2015 World cup, the Japanese men team put their hands on the World cup trophy and French men team won the silver medal.
The Japanese women team was awarded the silver medal and the French team with bronze, both behind the Canadian team who walked off with the trophy.
Kin-ball team anyone?
After this very positive and fun experience, we are thinking to put together a LFI Tokyo’s parents’ crew!
We really think that starting a Kin-ball team and being able to play with other Japanese parents/teachers would be highly beneficial to build a lasting friendship between the LFI Tokyo and our 6 neighbors !

10月16日（日）、FLT-リセ家族の会は、フランス学園を囲む6つの小・中学校（紅葉小、谷端小、滝野川第二小、滝野川第三小、滝野川第六小と滝野川紅葉中学校）のPTAのキンボール大会に招待されました。
FLTの3人の代表（役員2名、初等部の母1名）は、この大会の責任者と話し、キンボールを体験しました。
キンボールは、直径1,22m・重さ1kgのボールを使って行うチーム競技です。ケベック生まれで、とりわけ日本やフランスで行われています。
2015年の世界選手権では、日本男子が金メダル、フランス男子が銀メダルでした。女子においては、日本が2番目、フランスはカナダの次いで3番目でした。
東京フランス学園の保護者でチームを作るのはいかがでしょう？リセと近所の絆を強化するチャンスです！
