Should we take part in school education?
This year the school community will update the LFI Tokyo School plan for the period 2018-2021.
What is the LFI Tokyo school plan?
The school plan is first and foremost an education plan.
Mandated by French law, the school plan:
- Defines the specific application of the national vision, objectives and programs, as well as academic plan
- Sets the school’s educational choices and policy
- Expresses the collective willingness of a given community and ensures the consistency between its actions, values and the school’s context
- May foresee the implementation of experimental projects, for a maximum duration of 5 years, with the agreement of the academic authorities.
It is voted at the Board meeting, for a minimum duration of 3 years, and a maximum of 5. The School Head, Mr Exelmans, is offering us to contribute to this plan as parents.

Shy or outspoken, artist of cartesian,
Your opinion counts, your voice must be heard, your education vision matters.
We are all part of this plan.
We all want a quality school.
It is our right, our duty.
Let’s discuss together and collaborate: the LFI Tokyo needs you.
You will soon receive by email a survey to assess the 2014-2017 Plan.
In October we will hold 3 workshop meetings to discuss and define the 3 main axis of the new school plan. We will work in small groups:
Watch out ! First meeting change timing !
- Thursday 12 October 09:00 – 12:00 at LFIT
- Saturday 14 October 10:00 – 12:00 at LFIT
- Thursday 19 October 20:00 – 22:00 in Mejiro (exact place TBC)
We have chosen these 3 dates to allow for a large number of parents to join. We will also try to broadcast the discussions on Facebook for those who cannot physically join the meeting.
We need 4 teams made of 3-5 people to coordinate the workshops and lead the discussion:
- 1 team per orientation axis (total 3)
- 1 team for the overall summary
Please send us and email at association@familles-lycee-tokyo.com or nihongo@familles-lycee-tokyo.com (in Japanese) to volunteer!
